Normally, I would upload my video to nostr.build, and then paste the URL to that video in my note on Damus.
For this test, I used Damus’ native functionality to add a photo (video) from my photo album. Assuming that is what you were trying to do.

Yes. That’s exactly it. Does that mean I’m uploading to a Damus relay first?
I don’t know the technical tasks behind the scenes, but my guess is that by uploading directly to Damus, it is just uploading it to its server (like nostr.build) saving you a step or two.
If you can’t upload photos or videos, seems like a bug. Assuming you have the latest and greatest version of the app installed?
Yup. Just tried with a 2s video and it worked. I tried a larger file and it didn’t work.
Ahh so must be a size limit or it’s timing out when uploading
