Amen brother! Your post was very based until you said wayland is stupid. That is the direction all the distros are going. Wayland seems ok. No strong opinion on it

I like Xorg and will continue to use it until I'm forced to use something else (which I doubt).

Also if I recall you're a Ddebian fan no? Currently building a Debian 12 bookworm image for my roc-rk3399-pc arm64 board. Hoping I can get some performance improvements.

Yup, I am a Debian 12 user. Wonderful release with KDE. KDE finally does not krash.

I was surprised that it is not using Wayland on any of my machines by default because Wayland was supposed to replace Xorg. So Xorg it is, just works.
