I’m pretty convinced that if you own a computer or cell phone, your country’s government knows where you are to within a few meters at all times.
I don’t think hardware or OS matters in that consideration.

Correct they force the hardware manufacturers to have back door access…
They force the telephone companies to have back doors…
Even if you have a "secure phone" you can not use it around any other technology as it’s compromised as well…
Fact.
They can see I have a Tor connection going, too.
But they don't know I'm sh-tposting on Nostr; they probably think I'm into weird p0rn.
Tbf if they think that, you’re blending in these days.
Furry is the new Trans. And Otherkin is the new Furry.
Memes, though? Memes are the new IEDs.
I work in IT. Being comfortable with furries is a work requirement. 🤣 Someone told me IT being filled with furries is because the datacenters are so cold. 🤣
Genuine ignorance here: what is otherkin? I’m afraid to Google this.
Memes are dangerous. Memes are how we win. You can kill your enemy, piss them off through circular debates, or make them laugh and possibly think with a meme.
Memes are the ultimate non-lethal weapon.
I was literally just having a conversation with someone who does SigInt in the Navy and ya… you’re exactly right.
It honestly makes sense to me they’d go for the hardware over the software. What better way to poison the well where nothing much can be done to stop it?
What’s worse, it really comes down to the actual signals being sent. They can tell where you are in the house based on how your WiFi is bouncing off of objects in your house. So even if you manage to source perfect hardware, the moment you start getting any kind of signal, they can detect it.
