Nostr Web Client

So far I'm gathering that a public and private key distinction is important. I already plan on mentioning zaps but it's not the primary focus of the article. And yes, this is very much me farming for information.

As a technical person who had experience with Bitcoin and has used plenty of decentralized technologies before coming to nostr, I'm sure I have blind spots. Also, I'm trying to write this in a way that will be digestible for somebody who is not a technical person or has no experience with Bitcoin or using something decentralized.

So I read on nostr.com that you should not enter your private key in any client.

Correct me if I am wrong. How else can you log in and access your content? How can you set up a walled? How can you get verified?

What am I not getting here?

Signing apps! Something like nostr Connect, NOS-2X or NOS-2X Fox for web extensions. Alby had one. Android has amber I'm sorry I don't remember what the iOS app is, but there is one out there.

They can spin up new keys for you and manage multiple accounts. Or at least I know Amber for sure can, and NOS 2X Fox will im not sure if the iOS app does, but I don't see why it wouldn't....But these apps hold your private key for you kind of like a password manager and also like a password manager, They authenticate your actions on nostr.
