Does cash app run on lightning when it comes to sending BTC out? Or is it all on chain?

I prefer buying off of strike bc they have lower fees (i think) and using Cashapp more like a venmo for my fiat friends. My friends split bills etc off cash app and then I buy Bitcoin with whatever is sent to me
I do! However, I'm biased ☺️ I really appreciate all of the throngs that Strike and #[3] do for bitcoin and the world, but I prefer Cash App when it comes to helping bring new folks into bitcoin, giving them a powerful, but easy to use tool for growing in their usage and rewards through boosts.

I’ve always used Cashapp for fiat, but never really used it for Bitcoin, and started using strike for small buys because a lot of people recommended it. But if I could get rid of strike and have one less app on my phone, I probably will.
Check out our #bitcoin experience! If you’ve got a Cash Card you can round up your purchases into bitcoin and stack sats that way too. Buys are super easy and usually around a couple percent. Also easy as heck to go into cold storage or self custody with our on-chain transfers. Lemme know what you think and if there are ways that we can improve the experience ☺️
Just did! Was a pretty smooth experience! And sent to my lighting wallet so I have some for zaps.
I would love to be able to tap on my BTC balance though to send the max amount available.
