To have a xitter account is to get teabagged by elon. You are also perpetually at risk of being put in time-out for no good reason, and a ton of your personally data is being directly collected and stored (who knows how securely) and shared with agencies and advertisers of all kinds.

They shove promoted tweets in your feed, often for outright scams. The owner is an shameless shitcoiner. There is an algorithm that picks winners. There are hexagon jpeg pfp’s worn by scam victims proudly as the algo helps them shitpill others.

This is why i am no longer a user of the platform and why i don’t believe anybody who identifies as a bitcoiner should either

congrats w cutting the x-tie tho and GZY 💜🎉

I think i was better mentally primed than some others for it since i deleted all Meta™️ things long before they even became Meta™️ much to friends’ and family’s dismay.

Plus i always hated twoter anyway. Just happened to make an account and get sucked in to the outrage machine of presidential elections in 2016 and then heard as i started learning about #Bitcoin from podcasts in 2020 that “bitcoin twoter” was where all the plebs were at. Then obviously the #Stackchain happened. Wow what an exciting story huh 😴

Anyway #nostr is where the plebs are now as far as i’m concerned. Xitter can GFIWABAMFP

Damn righ! 💯 a shitcoiner that mad man. No Xitter! 🍑💨❌

😂😂😂😂

Shitter is indeed broken but still lot of good info for me on it to quit.

That is true, it’s a whole basket of trade-offs. Maybe i just don’t weigh that aspect as heavily as you do in proportion to some of the other stuff. My perspective is that you’re right, but there’s plenty of good info elsewhere on the internet, here especially.

I also had been framing it mentally as a binary thing for a while and couldn’t let it go: to be a xitter user or to not be a xitter user. Eventually became inevitable to let it go for good, though not easy
