Just saw.

I'm surprised they approved zap clients in the first place just knowing their track record of how far they'll go to get their Apple tax on every packet that passes through one of their devices.

Google will prob do the same now.

Sideloading sideloading sideloading.

I also wonder if it's related to Wallet Connect since it means the app itself is effectively a light wallet.

It's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when. Client #devs and the community need to start thinking on how to increase adoption while not sacrificing #nostr ideals and still make it user friendly. This was a wake-up call and the rest of the #devs need to get out in front of this building redundancy in case this happens to them. I like the idea of PWAs, but we all need to keep brainstorming and developing multiple solutions.

If you want my opinion, the reason Damus got the boot is it represents competition to Apple Pay due to zap functionality. Have no way to prove it, but it's just a gut feeling I have.

Agreed 100% with your first paragraph.

Not sure about the second. I can install Zeus from the App Store for example.

I think the core of it is Apple wants their 30% tax.
