i don't get the strike simping. kyc-free sats are more wholesome and pretty easy to get.

bisq, hodlhodl & robosats are great but the payment methods are not

Idk, I've found revolut pretty good. Cash in the post is apparently fine but I've not yet had the balls to try it out.

yeah cash by mail is great, I do not like that revolut shows your full name

The hack is to have one of the most common names in the country.

Of course KYC free sats are the way. I think people like Strike because of their product, branding, and Jack: he is a very charismatic and based bitcoiner that's been around for a long time. The precursor to Strike was Zap, one of the first open source Lightning wallets which inspired projects like nostr:npub1xnf02f60r9v0e5kty33a404dm79zr7z2eepyrk5gsq3m7pwvsz2sazlpr5 if I'm not mistaken. I used to work there so I might be biased but I think the company/product is pretty cool even though I'd rather use a self-custodial wallet.

I just like the ease of hourly reoccurring purchases paired with withdrawals over lightning or on-chain plus spending fiat to purchase from bitcoin-only vendors

the early days of strike alerts on twitter for 20% discount on bitrefill purchases were the best though

agree but that was too good to last forever hehe

Robosats and agoradesk are great! I've had luck paying with cash app which doesn't reveal your real name to the receiver
