It does seem interesting that application development has inverted the function->form paradigm.
I wonder what effects this has had on software and innovation. It feels backwards. Form usually follows function, not the other way around.

Completely agree here. Much of why I'm kinda stuck with my client development. I know the general functionality, but at a complete loss for design.
