#Obsidian is super great! It’s open source, it is built on open standards and uses .md files to keep your private(!)/personal notes relevant.

As it’s developer said:

> If you want your writing to still be readable on a computer from the 2060s or 2160s, it’s important that your notes can be read on a computer from the 1960s.

It’s great thing to just write. It’s open, it’s free, it’s super flexible. You can even edit your Herald posts in it and publish them almost seamlessly.
