Remarkable how the Democrat & Republican parties traded positions on numerous issues over the past two decades…

* Democrat today / Republican then:

• War eagerness

• Big corporate interests (e.g., pharma, weapons)

• Censorship/ free speech

* Republican today / Democrat then:

• Working-class interests

• Fiscal spending (e.g., government expansion vs. restraint)

• Immigration (e.g., importing cheap labor)

The switcharoo

Blame Bill Clinton... he cozied up to "industrial complex" donors and became the 2nd corporate party... the Bush's stayed corporate... with no populist/labor representation, Trump snatched the party away and here we are. #hellochaos
