I have been thinking about getting a Bitaxe. Lottery mining is cool and all, but it would be way more fun to just have it make even small amounts of e-cash that would then be deposited directly into my nostr account.
Have you worked out how many sats per day you might get? I didn't hear that on the interview.
It should be comparable to what you can get with a custodial pool. My bitaxe keeps overheating but when it's working I get about 15 sats per block with nostr:nprofile1qqsq9k04vahllseell55m74n3047y88pzlr0z5yany32st29fapqmgsppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0qy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnyv9kh2uewd9hj7qgawaehxw309ahx7um5wghxy6t5vdhkjmn9wgh8xmmrd9skctc87ckyu at about 400 GH/s.
If you got one of the newer gammas you could double that. It's not life changing money but it definitely is shitposting money. 😉
Yeah, that would be great. I could zap 30 sats every 10 minutes in a very privacy preserving way. As it is right now, I think that obtaining sats is the weak point of keeping an account on NOSTR private. The rest is relatively easy.
4320 sats per day would definitely make people feel like they are earning something.
I think the combination of having a BitAxe plugged into your wall, and seeing the sats appear in your NOSTR account is really compelling.

Is this 15 sats for every block, or just the blocks that ocean ends up minind?
You only get paid for ocean blocks. They find 1 or 2 a day.
