You have to be realistic in the event something like this happened; it would mean ETFs would be rejected and the price would tank.

I believe the ETFs are a trap anyway, and news of this nature would certainly make Bitcoin adoption more possible for many. Saying that, the sort of fear we would see would have people running away from instead of towards Bitcoin. Of course, I'm referring to normies and institutions, not maximalists.

Absolutely. I haven't done much research. I by default hate tradfi acronym.

I'm seeing ppl get fucked by IMF and China debt daily.

What's the impact of etf on global south?

Easier adoption for those in the know, that's pretty much it IMO.

There's a lot I don't know

Is an etf the same as a security?

Oh, no, and ETF is a fund for the bankers to trade assets more easily. It would theoretically inflate the price of an asset, but I don't believe Bitcoin ETFs will be approved anytime soon.

Securities are tricky because the regulators appear to decide on what the definition is and what meets that criteria. If what Ripple went through with the SEC and their XRP which was alleged to be a security is any indication, then this would be bad news for the bulls in the near term.

I have been harping on about us not being in a bull market yet, so something like this seems more likely than not, to me. People are delusional if they think institutions are going to give them a heads-up that there is money to be made.
