It wasn't my intention to be viewed as an outcast by the cult I was raised in or the world at large when it went mad over the past three years. I'm not rebellious by nature. A friend told me that most people’s morality is entirely defined by the preferences of their in group and I realized in that moment that I have never once felt that way. Probably why I’ve always felt on the outside looking in.

The process was slow and gradual. You first reject the system from a gut feeling before you completely understand its mechanisms.
As time goes on you become entangled in a reinforcing loop where your lack of conformity further separates you from the system.
