There’s a lot of people saying it’s good or it’s bad (mostly bad) and very few actually talking about what it is
My personal sentiment is 
Most people are just posers. They just follow what their favorite influencer believes.
Unfortunately the quality of discussion in nostr is generally deplorable, full of fundamentalism and dogma. I hope it gets better over time.
I do not agree in the slightest. Have had some great dev conversations, protocols, bitcoin theory, and more.
maybe I've had a bad experience but this thread is an example of what I mean.
Could you point me to good conversations here? Love to read them and maybe follow the right people
