For all the #fiberArt people out there:

Is it at all possible to embroider wall sized panels, like, 10' high by 20' long?

I keep thinking about having an embroidered "map wall" in a house that is a topographic map of the area around the house. This would be impossible for a human to do at this kind of scale but I wonder if there exists an embroidery machine that could do it.

Here is something hand done that represents the look but far too small.

With a sewing machine (more quilted style) or maybe an electric punch needle rug hooking gun for speed?

Near as I can find out no such machine exists that can embroider anything larger than a t-shirt of hat.

Disappointing.

Break it down like you would a quilt & create it that way…

Hey sweetie, the advice I gave about breaking it down like a quilt is because I saw someone else do it I can’t remember his name right now but if I do, I’ll show you but he creates these amazing huge things that way actually he designed them and other people created for him, but I can’t think of his name

If you find the guy, please let me know. I want to see it.

Will do. Probably won’t remember. Apologies. My concern was more in how he moved & hung them at the time. 🤣🫂✌️

That's what I was thinking. An embroidery machine or long arm quilting machine maybe? A very cool idea though.

Make like a puzzle small pieces in a sewing machine and att end put all together
