Stablecoin USDC lost its peg to the US dollar amid the bankruptcy of Silicon Valley Bank 😦

USDC lost its peg to the US dollar after its issuer Circle announced it was holding $3.3 billion in reserves at the bankrupt Silicon Valley Bank (SVB).

🔴 The problems also affected the stablecoin DAI - the provision of which is partially contained in USDC.
