Speaking of bioelectric, TIL that the inner mitochondrial membrane has a 30 million volt charge which is similar to a bolt of lightning. It is 6 microns thick. That is feasible because when you shrink the scale, the electromagnetic force gets stronger. That charge is insulated by deuterium-depleted water which we make in the mitochondria from a cytochrome protein.
