Me zapping after modest win at poker table day before

Was it strip poker?
NL Holden. You should join us. NOSTR peeps with a voice chat on the side. Play for sats. 25k buyin, 150/300 blinds cash game
I used to play on PKR, deposited $5 when I started, withdrew $40 five years later when it closed down. I was a high roller 😂
Never heard of that one. A winning player is a winning player. Which means you'd be above median skill on these games 🤭
TLDR but the site sounds amazing with quotes like:
“PKR.com”, he told me, “is amazing! You can design and create your own avatar, play at 3D tables, and the players are all like me – terrible but loving it!”
"Amazing but slow graphics barrier" lolol
It was great until it wasn't.
I played on ultimate bet and full tilt a bit back in the day. Both went belly up. Ultimate bet had straight up cheating that was caught when a player known as potripper kept winning big. Even hero called a bluff with Jack high to win a big tournament lol
Why is it so difficult for online casinos to make money when brick and mortar casinos rake it in?
No clue! Same reason shady exchanges just rug rather than provide a good service?
In the case of full tilt, they were racing to hire too many expensive pros and become the dominant brand I think. Funding them with player reserves lol. Maybe they intended to pay it back, and may have succeeded if not for law changes shrinking market substantially. Truly confusing though.
Stake, digital slots for crypto, does huge numbers today. At least from what I heard. Joke "kyc process" too from what I've heard. Wonder if they're legit
It's poker, but you stake clothes you're wearing instead of money.
Do you gamble for fiat for sats?
Does it matter? And sats :)
Not really. I'm curious if value is being pulled out of dollars and into Bitcoin. I'm newer gen and I think it's interesting how the OGs played poker with Bitcoin as a common use.
It's cool I suppose that it's bitcoin, since there's no kyc. Didn't even realize it was the obv advantage when you asked 🤦♂️
It is cool that gambling was a big part of early history. Iirc, the game was probably random, somehow using block data/randomness to deal cards (something like that).
