TLDR but the site sounds amazing with quotes like:

It was great until it wasn't.
I played on ultimate bet and full tilt a bit back in the day. Both went belly up. Ultimate bet had straight up cheating that was caught when a player known as potripper kept winning big. Even hero called a bluff with Jack high to win a big tournament lol

In the case of full tilt, they were racing to hire too many expensive pros and become the dominant brand I think. Funding them with player reserves lol. Maybe they intended to pay it back, and may have succeeded if not for law changes shrinking market substantially. Truly confusing though.

Not really. I'm curious if value is being pulled out of dollars and into Bitcoin. I'm newer gen and I think it's interesting how the OGs played poker with Bitcoin as a common use.

It is cool that gambling was a big part of early history. Iirc, the game was probably random, somehow using block data/randomness to deal cards (something like that).
