It's ironical that everyone on bitcoin twitter wants to improve self custody. However, the moment I open nostr I see custodial wallets being used.

Not true man. Says a lot about the crowd your following here.
Can you suggest some npubs to follow?
Non dev here so its mostly shit posting while trying to keep up with the “directions” of various projects without contributing. (Cashu, stratum, core etc). I understand its a lot of (see image) going on. But the end users of ₿ who are on nostr. Maybe follow nostr:npub1nnn379gxen6tn8erft6fh43q905g82q0jks4t3hf58pkl4l8srrsyjkzrt nostr:npub1jk9h2jsa8hjmtm9qlcca942473gnyhuynz5rmgve0dlu6hpeazxqc3lqz7 to name 2 who arent direct devs in products they use (afaik).

It's a shame and nostr is going the same route with people saying we need mass adoption at all costs
I'm OK with a simple custodial solution to store the >10000 SATs I use to zap a friend. I'm looking forward to NIP 60 Cashu integration in more nostr clients.
I am not OK with anything less than an offline multisig for amounts larger than 1,000,000 SATs.
For everything else I love #Aquawallet. I think Liquid is good enough at the moment.
Life is a series of compromises. And those are the compromises that seem rational to me.
It’s only that way because those are the only solutions that actually work well for new users and small amounts.
It’s also not unreasonable to have something like WoS for small amounts, and when it gets to a larger balance you just swap to cold storage.
Ark looks promising if it works. Could have mass onboard new users into self-custody.
