To be Left is to dislike and diminish hierarchies and class disparity. That is all.

There are authoritarian factions in leftism who want to use the State to achieve these ends. Their goal is to destroy hierarchy and class by becoming the state then dissolving the state. These are the Communists.

There are libertarian factions in leftism who want to destroy hierarchy and class division without becoming the state. They want to dissolve the hierarchy and class division incrementally through consistent and small gains of freedom. These are the Anarchists.

Anarchists have always disagreed with Communists because of two truths: 1) The ends do not justify the means 2) power always corrupts.

History has proven Anarchists correct on those two points.

To call all leftists Marxist and Collectivist is simply wrong and betrays someone as deceived by Statist and Ruling Class propaganda.
