Jesus said render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's. All the Christians took that to mean go lick boot.
As an atheist and anarchist I noticed that if taxation is theft, none of that is Caesar's. It is a command from Jesus to commit tax fraud.
Tale as old as time. The government hated them so they hated the government. Then the anti goverment group finally gets a seat at the table and rather than limit the government so no one gets persecuted, they just change a few rules so they can persecute who they want using the governments power instead. Usually this means making the government even more powerful.
