If we already have L2s that do anything drivechain could do, why make any change to bitcoin L1?

Because the changes are minor and only impact those who participate. It opens up liquid like capabilities to everyone.
So why not liquid? Are you 100% sure this doesn’t change anything else for non-DC users?
