Love to see the focus on their core product and user base. This is something every dev team with limited resources can learn from. Better to make and maintain a solid app on one platform, than to make a bunch of shitty broken apps in an attempt to be multi-platform.

Correct. Now add gif button.

I was waiting on the new version of the Google library, it was simple as adding one more modifier but in the latests betas they just decided to change it to a new textform composable that you need to refactor all the logic from the textformfield and you loose everything else like links and @ people

yep. nostr:npub1gcxzte5zlkncx26j68ez60fzkvtkm9e0vrwdcvsjakxf9mu9qewqlfnj5z is developing #Amethyst in a way that encourages interoperability, personal choice, and freedom.

that's a large part of why i use Amethyst.

Pre-release multiplatform devs severely underestimate how time consuming testing in all platforms is. So, much that they prefer no changing anything to avoid having to test it again. The app gets to MVP and stays MVP forever.

I remember a few years ago installing the Android version of one of my favorite iOS apps (some photo editing app I don’t remember the name) and I was flabbergasted 🤣 It was so bad compared to the iOS version, and several features/versions behind.

The worst part is that iOS people will keep recommending that app to everyone as the best thing since Christ and all the Android folks are like... WTF? Why are you recommending this shit?..

Can confirm 😂

Miracles aside, the pursuit of multi-platform excellence often succumbs to the harsh realities of resource constraints, leaving developers to choose between mediocre ubiquity or exceptional exclusivity.

There are clear examples of each on nostr

Know your customers & serve their needs well. Don't try to be everything to everyone.

Corndo: “primal is a shitcoin for supporting iOS and Android. I’m also a primal legend🤙🏽”

Nah this wasn’t about Primal. They’re doing decently with multi platform support. Can’t say the same for some others.
