Bitaxe is to mining what Raspberry Pi is to node running.

Great learning tools and that’s about it.

I am just glad people are mining with no expectation of profit

My most reliable and longest running node has been on a Pi. It actually does the job, whereas bitaxe, not so much.

My pi barely stayed up and running for a week. Not enough power. Once I bought a real computer (for like $150) everything has been smooth sailing.

Understandable. In my case I lost a node running on an old iMac when it died. Also recently I had a node on a powerful Linux PC on zfs that for whatever reason and multiple different ssd's I gave up on because it would fail with corrupted blocks. The pi on the other hand continues to run for years.
