Whenever we go to the local Italian restaurant, the waitress asks if we want dessert or coffee afterward.

I know it's a common thing, but for the life of me I don't know why anyone would want coffee after a big meal at night.

I'm italian, I prefer not drink coffee after 18.

(unless I have to drive)

But it's super common here to always drink an espresso after each big meal.

Yeah. Have been to Fano this Year. Beautiful City. And its true, espresso is common EVERYWHERE.

And it also does not matter where you order one. Restaurant or Autostrada stop.... Its pretty much always a perfect espresso.
