Replying to nobody

Good exercise. I remember my Dad and I doing this with raccoon pelts and a couple of live raccoons on a few occasions for our hounds when I was growing up. My Dad ended up paying for more than half of our first family home with the proceeds from fur sales. Raccoon pelts, and the odd fox. There was a whole room in the basement where the inside out pelts would be hanging from nails on stretch boards. And then once a year he and my Mom would go up to Hudson’s Bay to sell everything.

To this day I still attribute my comfort with being in the forest at night to the many hours I spent as a kid tromping around in the bush with my Dad following the sound of baying tracking dogs.

That's cool. They probably went to the fur auction in North Bay. I went there once. Interesting event. The only time I have eaten beaver pepperettes.
