Yes maam, it is extremely important! Identifying our feelings and learning how to encounter, experience and express them in safe ways is crucial in our growth & development. I dont think we can necessarily turn them "on or off" as feelings are contingent upon experiences and situations. Like feeling sadness when we experience a loss.
