Maybe I'm just old, but 4chan, fedi etc...have nothing on the Usenet groups of the early-mid 90s.

Where the FLAME ON tag meant you were in a war that would stretch for days over text, ASCII art and the most horrific gif/jog that would take a literal hour to download before burnimg your eyesight (cause they were actual photos someone had taken and scanned)

Maybe my upbringing in rough neighborhoods just desensitised me ?

Maybe there's not enough desensitization anymore?
