My grand and great grandparents hand painted china and sold and gave it as gifts. Some of it was beautiful. I only kept 3-4 pieces of it. We are hard on things in the birdhouse and I didn't want to deal with breaking it.

My kids may or may not want it when they're older. My mom has a ton she's specifically saving for them. I would rather have old art pieces, writings, tools, fishing and hunting stuff, photographs etc. my wife didn't want her families either for similar reasons. Oh we also don't entertain enough to break out the fine china
