My little sister had her first day in middle school last week.

I was home and saw how enthusiastic and happy she was to start. She was excited to play in the school orchestra be active in the school committee for her class and was waking up happy to go learn.

Today I called back home and the situation changed 180 degrees.

She hates school now.

The teachers told her pretty harsh that she’s not good enough yet to play in the orchestra (she’s 10) and didn’t get voted into the committee…

This is crazy and makes me furious.. teachers have such a big responsibility and most of them don’t give a fuck on how to communicate with little children. I start seeing more and more flaws after being homeschoolpilled… this is just so much worse since me and my family feel so powerless…

Any advice?

(Homeschooling is not an option where she lives)

agree with this sentiment but also struggle with my kids about when is an appropriate time to teach a kid to overcome the adversity put in front of them by authority "teachers".

this might be the opportunity to light a fire in her belly that will slowly grow to be enormous and incredible so she can prove them wrong
