I have been learning from some folks living in El Salvador that it is possible to invest in real estate in El Salvador with only bitcoin! This largely avoids all the banking hassles which one might have trying to wire money from the USA to a "third world country".

A hack could be, get a mortgage in the US for a home. Sell the home. Then use the money to buy bitcoin which you use to purchase a home in El Salvador. Slowly pay off the loan in the USA. What do you think?

That being said, the banking situation in El Salvador is getting better! See the interview with Gladys from elsalvadorr11.com.

My hack doesn't work at all. Just ignore the second paragraph.

Lmao of course it doesn’t, and why would you want to live in El Salvador anyway? It’s a total shithole.

For maxis, there's incentive since El Salvador is one of the only countries to successfully(?) make Bitcoin legal tender.

In spite of that however, adoption is very slow to put it lightly.

It’s just so ridiculous, I don’t think bitcoin ppl really know anything about El Salvador, it’s not a nice place.

Might not matter much with how much incentives Bukele is throwing at them, and he's admittedly doing his best to clean up the country.

Once the maxi incentives dry up, however, I see no reason to go there beyond tourism. I'm certain the next planted puppet will just undo all of Nayib's efforts anyway.
