I'm getting far more signal on #Nostr than I ever did on Twitter/X. You don't realize how much bullshit noise there is until you leave. It feels like walking out of a room filled with smoke and breathing fresh air.

Hey :) Nice to meet you..The only thing I miss is the information flow but may be it's not that bad after all..new people joining..feels good to be kinda early.
I felt that way at first too, but consider this: the information we really need will make it to us. That has 100% been true for me. If anything, I was experiencing information OVERflow on X. I don't think our brains are meant to handle everything from everywhere.
Plus, I'm making positive improvements in my general feeling of anxiety and have shifted to an overwhelming positivity lately. Algorithms don't tend to feed me things that are good for me (in my experience). It doesn't pay.

I think it's more than just number of users. We have the possibility of infinite clients, each with their own ability to cater to our needs. With X, you get what they feed you whether you want it or not. You have merely an illusion of control. They will ultimately feed you whatever pays the most in ragards to THEIR goals.
In theory, I can choose to the smallest degree what I want to see on #Nostr. And I think it will only get better with AI tools, more clients, etc.
I'm even free to write my own client, run my own relay, etc if I want total control over my experience. I think that will get easier too over time. We have so many possibilities that we will never have on legacy social media. Fuck em.
