Tbf, Fiatjaf said on Twitter today Lightning is not the solution for Bitcoin, as well.
I agree with him, especially given the current state of the Lightning Network. There is a risk of centralization as it continues to develop.
What's the solution then?
I don't think there is any perfect solution. Personally I keep majority of my funds on-chain and some of them on lightning for spending. Yeah I pay the price every week or 2 but its worth it I guess.
I do the same. But to me it's like saying nostr is not decentralized because most people use a couple of large relays. His issue was that some channels got force closed on him in this high fee environment. I see that this is not nice, but it also depends largely on the other side your channels are connected to.
