What do you recommend for the home gamer, and how many coins can I expect a month?

S9 for easy home mining. Coins not easy to come by, but with patience and the right pool, you’ll get some.
I could have it on for a month and not get anything?
No you’d generate a bit, but with a lower hashrate, it would not be much, and some pools have thresholds of payouts.
I’m mainly speaking from a frame of reference of Braiins pool, and this all varies between pools. You would generate a couple hundred sats each block, but there’s a 1M sat threshold to payout with no fee. So it would be a while before you could withdraw with no fee.
