No, we are not. I'm saying if you had an address region running on a z/15 utilizing DB2 you could make 10million plus get page requests a second and never see a blip. But you have to understand SNA and VTAM to realize why that traffic can happen, plus the cpcs. Jesus, they are data machines. Hercules has an emulator, z/os based.

Remote vs. local calls are comparing oranges to apple. Hence this got me confused. 🐢🐾🫑

Where do you think peer to peer came from? IBM man, look up APPN and tell me Bitcoin isn't using atleast one piece of that methodology.

I am from that era myself, and well aware! Thank you, fren! πŸΆπŸΎπŸ«‚πŸ«‘

Do you know how a stack works from a systems perspective? You all could be dropping Twitter to their knees, with the right system stack. Internally you all use a linklist but end nodes and network nodes use a time chain. New transactions or applications gen'd to the system, IMS, DB2, etc. using a preferable language?? I installed python on a z/os 2.2 test system years back. But the jcl couldn't be automated to run py executables with and RACF id hard coded. That was py 2.7 so maybe a newer version exists?

I used to be a systems analyst 2, out of 3 but they wouldn't hire anymore 3's so I burnt down Mobius in 2021 and I stopped talking to the people named they. They said I caused millions of dollars of damage a second but didn't send me one bill. If you ever want to know how government data moves from a to b, let me know. All I know is secrets.

πŸΆπŸΎπŸ«‚πŸ«‘ Will certainly do! Thank you!
