Democracy works great in smaller groups +/-150... Everyone's there, tabulation is easy, things can be discussed rationally, the motion to vote is organic and is a natural conclusion to the meeting's end. Early versions of representative (republic) democracy where travel takes months by horse and buggy and thus representation is the most efficient means of communicating your will to the tabulators, was like a slow game of snail mail correspondence chess to find the best outcome for all sides when everyone could write politely, eloquently and lucidly with the understanding that the goal was to cooperate and not send the most people to prison or be known for firing the most employees... But this thing we have today... It's not a Democracy or a Republic... It's a Monster!
