There are very few "crypto" projects in which the founders do not dump on the holders. Specially the ones with foundations that have employees and executives with big salaries, issuing more tokens (fiat style) to pay investors (VCs) and fund themselves. Don't trust, verify

Perhaps, start where it all began - the original Ripple by Ryan Fugger.
Then go to BitcoinTalk, and start reading posts by username jed, where he first discusses the idea.
Then read why he left Ripple.
Then compare that to what Ripple became.
Other sources are just someone's biased opinion.
