Argentinian culture sidenote:

Government employees are often referred to as “ñoquis” after the national tradition of making the traditional potato-based pasta at the end of every month while the majority of the public pinches pennies to make it to their monthly payday.

They’re called “ñoquis” bc the common reputation amongst these freeloader bureaucrats is that they only show up at the end of the month to grab their paychecks, leaving government offices unattended or under-staffed for the vast majority of their operating hours.
