Using publicly traded stocks as a way to store wealth doesn’t totally make sense to me. Hear me out. A company posts earnings. People will bid to buy or sell the stock based on performance. The trading of these shares does absolutely nothing to the bottom line of the company. The company can only use the stock price to sell shares in order to raise capital or buy shares back to increase stock price and pump C-Suite bags. Buy stocks sounds a lot like trading altcoins.

I'm with you up to a certain point. A stock is a piece of ownership in the company and if you get in early during an IPO, it can be super lucrative. Even then owning small amounts of stock is no different than owning an altcoin. People just want the stock to appreciate and if it has a dividend that's no different than staking.
In the end all you can point to is that you still technically have ownership in the business while with an altcoin all you own is....=(
