Can you tell us something about the start up sound? It’s lower too?

With the adjusted fans? Yes it is.

The PSU fan upgrade is really worth it, you immediately lose the whiney sound and it’s much quieter. When starting up the fans do go to 100% for a while which ofcourse causes noise, you can’t stop that. I have it set at constant low power rate and a constant fan speed of about 35% and that’s perfect. A bit of noise, but not more than a dishwasher or something like that. I did set the fans to a fixed speed though: if it fluctuates it’s more annoying imo than a constant low noise :)

My biggest problem is always the startup sound if the s9 is in the house and restarts many times because HomeAssistant automations

Or better: what kind of automations have you made in HA? Out of curiousness :)

I currently have it on low power 24-7. Would love to automate the power and / or fan depending on whether I’m home or not, but the HA plug-in I found isn’t compatible anymore.

Unfortunately there is nothing you can do about the 100% fan starting sound when changing parameters or starting up (in Braiins)

Im using a aqara zigbee temp sensor + the miner integration from schnitzel… if the room is under 18 degree = start the miner…. If the room is over 21 degree = stop the miner

And if u open the window for more then 20 seconds = stop the miner… close the window again = start the miner

It’s not perfect atm but it’s running fine :)

So I can’t fix the startup sound… mmh, okey but I will try out the new fans
