You are right. I realized that after I wrote the note. I guess websockets is a protocol, but it's also part of http. I think one more protocol is needed, and that is to connect nostr users and notes to form a chain of verifiable history. Something like RGB but in nostr events. That ties together the security of a block chain with the social network of nostr.
