There's no limit to the amount of power people can generate to overcome those who seek to oppress them. I don't think those power holders can hold power forever.

If freedom is based in power, that means you always have to be exerting it against a world that wants to consume you. And that's just the world of nature in general, let alone other people.

And what’s interesting is that the gap in power shrinks with new technologies. So the battle shifts away from brute force to mental warfare (i.e. propaganda, brainwashing)

This is one of the reasons I like Softwar. Most of it is about that dynamic. Almost the first 3/4 of the thesis is about just that.
