That first paragraph is poison. People are fuckedup precisely because they constantly want to change, improve, or achieve.

I partially disagree. As with most things, there is a healthy side and an unhealthy side. Your comment highlights the effects of the unhealthy side. Achievement, change or improvement can be awesome when it’s done in the right way and for the right reasons. For example if one is overweight, changing that reality isn’t just a better decision health wise but it can also be a self esteem booster as well. My two sats
