This is basically the sunniest patch at the SWIMstead. We had some daikon in here about a month ago: they are in the pickling process currently. (Dehydrated and hot-rehydrated and now sitting in le fridge waiting for us to spice and hot-oil.)

The land we are on is a hill of sand, and we have changed it to a few catchments with great fun sweats and shovelings. All the water and nutrients eventually collect in this lower patch, which used to be a firepit before we arrived here. So, these peas will be growing in charcoal-flavored sand with an array of scattered glass and metal . . . Amazing where plants will grow.
