Had some German friends for dinner tonight.

They use to live in France for a few years but went back to Germany.

When they asked why the French were on strike « this time » … I had to tell them the truth… « they think they are oppressed and forced to work more and more for less and less money.. »

Am I right to say this?

How would you explain it ?
