Any progress that is desired, that does not come as a side effect of just living, is bad.

The only progress that is good is not a real progress. If the bad guys have progressed too much, the good guys need to catch up to beat them (meaning - make them extinct, not make more nor better progress). So that is catching up with power grabbing tools, not any extra progress. And if you are going to fail to beat them, don't even do the catching up, because you might accidentally engage in progress.

Bitcoin and Nostr are the catching up with money printing and usurpation of internet. It is not progress. And should never turn into one.

The catching up is convenient to be done by luring some progressive engineers from the bad side. That is still catching up.
