Does it actually work? I guess maybe it could train your mind to be more comfortable without the parade running through it..

It helps, doesn’t cure. But daily practice does help to allow the petty thoughts to pass when they come, and not to dwell around. I find it best to sit with mantra for 20 minutes, eyes closed, deeply relaxed, 2x daily. I hear Dan Harris’ book 10% happier is good but I haven’t read it.
