I tend to think this is mostly an issue caused by LND and experienced by LND users. Since I've switched to CLN I've had a very good experience.

I think the Lightning Labs team needs to focus less on implementing shitcoins on lightning and more on the stability of their node implementation. Bolt 12 would be nice as well.

LL is building Taro, which allows to issue and transmit "Assets" on lightning iiuc

This is NOT more important than BOLT-12 IMO but I guess they are trying to figure out a way to make a buck.
