LMAO throwback to 12 year old me pirating games on LimeWire 😂
Discussion
I still have all of the music I stole on Limewire. There are some jacked up files in there.
until very recently I still had my old windows 98... finally let it go, but still have all the best tunes I downloaded from Napster on the CD's I burned.
Wow you kept it for that long? That’s true love haha What computer were you running it on?
Oh man. I remember being the first kid in school with a cd burner. I was on IRC all night pirating music, movies, and games for kids. Made a decent about of money charging $5 a pop 🤣
I love it hahah Wish I had the idea to charge my friends for my material!
I still do that, but using QBittorrent, which has built in search, instead of Limewire.
And Win XP is the last version of Microsoft Windows I used. Been running nothing but Linux for about 20 years.
I clean up my mp3's using EasyTag.
Niceeee. Haven’t tried QBittorrent.
I think Win XP was the last version I used too. Can’t even remember how long ago that was now 😅
This brings back memories! I still have burned CDRs that are starting to show signs of bit rot... would be a good project to re-archive their contents
For sure! Fun walk down memory lane
Kids these days...
I've got DOS 3.1 on 5¼ floppy somewhere around here
Floppy disks! That’s where I kept all my photos and random “diary entries” on Word documents 😂
So many memories.
There was a friend who had a computer at his home. That was a big deal to have a computer at home(I only saw it at schools / dad’s office). The bigger and wowing deal was that it had two slots for these 5 1/4 floppy disks. Now you didn’t need to do the floppy dance(“insert source disk”… “insert target disk”) to copy that 560kb data from one floppy to another. Amaze.
Next mind blowing thing happened when I witnessed those 3 1/2” “sturdy” floppies. 1.4mb? Wow.
❤️
I still remember those 25 characters, from the time I was reinstalling that crap every week 🤣
Then I discovered proper operating systems. 🐧🐡
Hahaha same! Good times
Somewhere I still have an AOL dial up disk.
Keep it! Might be worth a ton some day, who knows
Oh man. Brings memories. I remember that I’d memorised this very key!
